Vitamin Therapy

Vitamin Therapy

Nutrient infusions/injections is a method of feeding vitamins, minerals, and other natural substances directly into a patients bloodstream.

Bypassing the digestive system is the main advantage of this therapy. Scientific research has demonstrated that a variety of conditions can benefit from the use of IV nutrition.

Fatigue, hormone imbalances, depression, fibromyalgia and anemia are common conditions linked to nutritional deficiencies. While eating a clean, whole foods diet is an absolute must, vitamin and nutrient injections are a safe and effective way to correct nutritional imbalances quickly.

Vitamin B-12

Vitamin B-12 is an essential water-soluble vitamin that is found in animal based foods including fish, shellfish, meats, and dairy products. B12 absorption decreases as we age. It can be impaired by taking acid blocking medications (prevacid, losec) or eating a vegetarian diet. This vitamin is needed for normal blood and nerve cell production and helps us burn carbohydrates, fats and protein for energy. B-12 can be given alone or in combination with other B vitamins for enhanced effects.

Vitamin B-Complex

Each B complex injection contains B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12. Found in a variety of foods, this group of vitamins helps the body convert carbohydrates into energy, supports the immune system and assists removal of toxins. B vitamins are essential in the breakdown of fats and protein and are a popular choice among athletes. B-complex injections are especially helpful if you suffer from fatigue, thyroid disorders or menstrual problems.

The amino acids Methionine, Inositol and Choline are combined with B complex to create our custom Lipo-B injection. Lipo-B helps the body decrease fat deposits by increasing satiety, metabolism and removal of fatty waste via the liver. Combined with a healthy diet and exercise, Lipo-B injections may assist with weight loss.

Myers Cocktail

This customized mixture of vitamins and minerals is injected intravenously. Introducing nutrients directly into the bloodstream results in much higher concentrations then would be possible with oral supplements. At higher concentrations, clinical benefits are seen more quickly with a more predictable outcome.

Our Myers cocktail includes high amounts of the following nutrients administered through a small needle in the arm:

  • Vitamin C
  • Magnesium
  • Calcium
  • Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12
  • Trace minerals

Vitamin C Infusion

Vitamin C, is an important antioxidant that protects the body from oxidative stress. We cannot make Vitamin C in our bodies, so it must be consumed through diet and supplementation. Given intravenously, vitamin C can reach a higher blood concentration than can be achieved by an oral dose. This is especially important when the body is experiencing periods of high stress, such as a viral illness or when battling cancer.

Vitamin C is an important co-factor in the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters. At high doses, vitamin C has the effect of slowing the growth of some kinds of cancer cells and can be used alongside other cancer treatments to improve quality of life.

High dose vitamin C is used in the treatment of:

  • Chronic fatigue
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Heart disease
  • Viral illness
  • Post surgical healing
  • Sports injury repair
  • Allergies

Necessary for collagen production in the body, Vitamin C also promotes healthy skin. Our Skin Brightening protocol is the perfect partner to many of the anti-aging treatments offered at Dr. Christine Hatfield's Clinic.
