Micro-needling

Micro-needling

The concept of Micro-needling is based on the skin's natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions

Eclipse MicroPen

Automated micro-needling is an innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and the improvement of the skin’s texture, tone and color. The skin’s repair process helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and enhance skin elasticity. The Eclipse MicroPen® is an advanced medical-grade automated micro-needling device used to treat minor scarring related to acne, wounds, and aging

How does Micro-needling work?

Micro-needling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue.

This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too.

This process has two major benefits. It effectively stimulates collagen formation whilst simultaneously providing a clear channel for topical serums/active ingredients in your skin care to be absorbed more effectively through its top layer, the epidermis. Micro-needling creates a very minor (almost microscopic) trauma which lasts for a short period of time. It is a form of Collagen Induction Therapy, intended to smooth wrinkles and improve depressed acne scarring.

Nutrients penetrate the surface of the skin through the pin point punctures to hydrate, nourish and aid in the cellular repair and stimulate the production of elastin and collagen fibres. Collagen takes approximately 6-weeks for your body to produce, moving you towards a more youthful looking you.

Combination Therapies

We offer 3 in-house Micro-needling Treatments:

Micro-needling with Hyaluronic Serum- Hyaluronic acid is a compound naturally found in the body, when used with micro-needling it can aid in adding volume, giving the skin fullness and a plumping effect. We recommend 3-6 treatments 4 weeks apart.

Micro-needling with NCTF Boost- This unique compound comprises more than 50 active ingredients. It creates the optimal environment for fibroblasts, which are responsible for the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. This protocol includes a chemical peel to prepare the skin, immediately followed by micro-needling with the NCTF boost solution. 3 consecutive sessions are required every 2 weeks.

Micro-needling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)- Also known as the "Vampire Facial", begins with the collection of blood which is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the PRP. The PRP is applied to the face during and after the micro-needling procedure. The additional growth factors and cytokines from the PRP lead to more rapid collagen remodeling and regeneration of tissue. We recommend 3 treatments 4 weeks apart.
