Meet Dr. Hatfield
Originally from Nova Scotia, Dr. Hatfield studied Biology at Acadia University and was awarded a Bachelors of Science with Honors. She moved to London, Ontario in the early 90’s to study medicine at the University of Western Ontario and graduated with a prize in Preventative Medicine. Then it was back to Halifax for residency training, followed by more than a decade of general practice as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist.
It was during these years that Dr. Hatfield began to notice a pattern. “Women came to me for help with PMS, heavy periods and pain, and all I had to offer was surgery or prescription medications. Some got better, but many didn’t. I began to wonder if there was more I could do to serve these patients.” She enrolled in a three year Postgraduate program with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and was Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine in 2012. She has taken additional training in medical weight loss, lifestyle medicine and intravenous therapy, all of which compliment her integrative approach to health.
Through her studies, Dr. Hatfield realized that the body cannot be compartmentalized and that people must be treated as a whole entity. “Everything is linked together - each body system has a strong impact on the other. It’s all about balance. And for women, getting hormones, liver function, digestive issues and stress under control are paramount to wellness”.
Today, Dr. Hatfield enjoys her newfound career as a women’s health advocate. She enables her patients to welcome health back into their lives, focusing on clean eating, exercise, self care, stress adaptation and hormone balancing. She is thrilled to offer women of the Okanagan a facility where they can get the answers they are searching for.
Away from work, Dr. Hatfield and her husband, Glenn, keep busy raising their three beautiful daughters. She enjoys skiing, tap dancing, cooking and travelling.
Dr. Hatfield remains a member in good standing of:

She is the inspiration behind and the medical director of NOW Health.
